In this speech, we will discuss how Ant Group, one of the world's leading fintech companies, utilized the power of Ray to build a massive, online serverless platform. We will delve into the challenges Ant Group faced when building and scaling this platform, and how Ray helped overcome those obstacles with its ability to process massive amounts of services deployment parallel. Additionally, we will explore how Ray enabled Ant Group to create a more efficient and cost-effective solution by optimizing resource utilization, reducing infrastructure costs, and increasing operational efficiency.
Chong Li is currently a software engineer at Ant Group, and he is a member of the Ray Core team. Before joining Ant Group in 2021, he received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Washington University in St. Louis, and his research interests include real-time systems, distributed systems and cloud computing.
Guyang Song is a software engineer at Ray team of Ant Group and a committer on open-source project Ray. With a dedicated focus on Ray Core development for the past six years, he is the author of the Ray C++ distributed framework and one of the maintainers of the Ray Runtime Env framework. Additionally, he actively contributes to the operation of the Ray China Community, overseeing social platforms and organizing meetups.
